Job summary

ZHP Manufacturing in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking a CNC Operator to set up and operate CNC Mill and Lathe equipment to produce precision parts per drawings and specifications. You will prep tools, verify conformance, and maintain part quality throughout runs while following safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include deburring, in-process inspection, and assist with hardware installation after quality approval. Strong math skills and CAD/CAM familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 3–5 years of CNC Mill and/or Lathe setup and operation experience; Haas equipment preferred.
• Experience with VMCs / 5-axis is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
• Proficiency with hand measuring tools (micrometers, calipers).
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Mill and/or Lathe per job instructions.
• Prep tools and workholding as directed by Cell Lead.
• Verify part conformance after setup and during runs.
• Record in-process inspection results and complete forms.
• Perform deburring and prep parts for additional operations.
• Install hardware after quality approval and perform other duties as assigned.
