Job summary

Bharat Forge Aluminum USA, Inc. in Sanford, NC is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up, load and operate milling equipment to produce precision tools and dies.

The candidate will program with Mastercam 3D, operate HAAS VM6, Hurco VM-ONE and TM8i, read drawings for tolerances, and use calipers and micrometers to verify specifications. Knowledge of Mastercam, basic Excel and PowerPoint skills are a plus; physical ability to lift and work in a noisy, hot environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Tool Maker with 3 years of experience required.
• Apprentice certification or Journeyman license preferred.
• Reading drawings to identify operations and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up, load, and operate CNC machines to produce tools and dies.

• Maintain machines and perform 5S housekeeping.

Description

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Setup, Load, operate CNC machines to produce tools/dies
• Knowledge of Master CAM 3D to create CNC programs.
• Experience on HAAS VM6/Hurco VM-ONE mill machine & Hurco TM8i Lathe Machine.
• Retrieve CNC programs and load to the machine
• Knowledge of Master CAM
• Operate other machine tools like lathes, grinders, drills, and mills
• Setup die blocks on machine beds
• Setup cutters in holders and adjust height and length
• Use various hand tools to finish parts and check
• Use measuring devices like micrometers, calipers, to ensure specifications are met
• Sharpen cutting tools
• Operator maintenance tasks like oiling, greasing, and cleaning the machine (5S)
• Use forklift or crane to store and retrieve tools/die assemblies
• Read drawings/prints to identify operations, specifications, and tolerances
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
