Moeller Precision Tool is seeking a CNC & Manual Machinist (Tool Steel) for the night shift in Michigan. The role offers $22.00-$32.00/hr plus overtime and a $2.25/hr shift premium, with an annual earnings potential of roughly $58K-$91K.

Join a climate-controlled shop using Mazak, DMG Mori, Mitsubishi EDM, Okamoto grinders, and more. Ideal candidates have at least two years of machining experience, strong blueprint reading, and familiarity with quality measurement tools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of machining experience.
• Blueprint reading skills.
• Knowledge of quality measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, indicator).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and shop math skills.
• HS diploma or GED required.
• Experience machining tool steel and/or Mazatrol or Fanuc controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform full CNC machine setups (tooling, offsets, fixturing).
• Machine tool steel components to tight tolerances.
• Read and interpret detailed blueprints.
• Set speeds, feeds, and tolerances.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards.

Job Title: CNC & Manual Machinist (Tool Steel) – Night Shift

$22.00-$32.00/hr + overtime + $2.25/hr shift premium | Earn approximately $58K-$91K annually

Join one of the cleanest, climate-controlled machine shops in Michigan and work with industry-leading equipment including Mazak, DMG Mori, Mitsubishi EDM, Okamoto grinders, and more. Machinists at Moeller Precision Tool produce high-precision tooling components for the manufacturing industries of automotive, appliance, pharmaceutical, and much more. We provide job-specific training, but candidates should have at least two years of machining experience.

Schedule

• Night Shift: 5:30 PM – 4:00 AM (Mon–Fri)
• Typical: 45–50 hours/week
• Overtime required (up to ~56 hours/week)
• Up to 14 mandatory Saturdays/year (12 PM – 6 PM)

What You’ll Do

• Perform full CNC machine setups (tooling, offsets, fixturing)
• Machine tool steel components to tight tolerances

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of experience operating CNC or manual machines
• Blueprint reading skills
• Knowledge and understanding of quality measurement tools (i.e. caliper, micrometer, indicator, etc.)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and shop math skills.
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience machining tool steel and/or working with Mazatrol or Fanuc controls is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Standing for 8–10 hour shifts
• Frequent movement (walking, bending, lifting)
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
