Job summary

Hennig in Machesney Park, IL is seeking a full-time CNC bending operator. You will set up and operate CNC and manual bending machines to manufacture parts to exact specifications, change tooling and dies as needed, and upload programs through the machine interface with basic adjustments.

You will perform first-piece and in-process inspections for dimensional accuracy, troubleshoot machine issues, and carry out routine preventive maintenance to keep equipment safe and productive.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret computerized blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Experience with precision forming, bending, and folding operations.
• Proficient in the use of measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, protractors, and tape measures.
• Basic math skills required, including addition and subtraction.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual bending machines to produce parts to specification.
• Change tooling and dies as required for each job.
• Upload and run programs through the machine interface; make basic program adjustments as needed.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to verify dimensional accuracy.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and make minor adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and keep equipment in safe working condition.
