Qualifications

Base pay range

$23.00/hr - $42.00/hr

CNC Maintenance Technicians play a critical role in ensuring the continuous operation of our 24/7 manufacturing facility. Responsible for the installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide range of equipment, this role is essential to minimizing downtime and maintaining productivity.

Essential Functions

To accomplish this job, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to help enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Read work orders, specifications, blueprints, and schematics to determine maintenance tasks and troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Performs moderate to advanced troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on CNC machines, pumps, HVAC, cranes, forklifts, compressors, and other facility equipment
  • Monitors fluid levels and may add/change fluids, including coolant to machines; safely transports and stores used coolant for collection by authorized waste vendor
  • Safely and efficiently operates forklift and other material-handling equipment including scissor lifts or other powered industrial lifts; may operate overhead or jib cranes; certification must be obtained upon hire and maintained throughout employment
  • Maintain accurate records in ERP and work order systems; manage parts and supply inventory as needed
  • Keep work areas clean and organized; return tools and equipment to proper storage after use
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures; consistently utilizes all required personal protective equipment (PPE); attends and participates actively in safety training; may participate in safety committee
  • Communicates verbally (English) and follows verbal and written instructions
  • Level II and III may provide training to level I technicians
  • Performs other tasks and/or assignments as required
  • Regular on-site attendance at the workplace is required

Required Education And Work Experience

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required
  • Vocational training or apprenticeship in industrial maintenance is required
  • Experience requirements vary based on position level. The posted salary range reflects a broad range inclusive level I, II and III positions.
    • A minimum of two (2) years experience in a similar maintenance role to include repair of CNC machining centers is required ; Vocational training or apprenticeship in industrial maintenance is preferred.
    • Higher experience levels are required for placement at Level II and Level III.
  • Experience troubleshooting and performing repairs on Haas and Toyoda machines is preferred; OEM Certification is preferred
Other Required Skills And Abilities

  • Valid Driver's license and acceptable safe driving record to meet insurance requirements
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP or CMMS/Work Order system experience is preferred
  • Strong multitasking, time management, and adaptability

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Role

To perform the essential functions of the role, employees must be able to perform the following activities with or without reasonable accommodations:

  • Frequently walk, stand, sit for extended periods, bend, climb, kneel, and lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Use hands and fingers to operate tools, install hardware, and work on computers or control systems.

Work is performed in a manufacturing warehouse environment where working conditions may vary significantly; the employee will be exposed to:

  • Moderate to high noise levels (hearing protection may be required).
  • Dust, smoke, fumes, and vapors (PPE such as masks or respirators may be needed).
  • Extreme hot or cold temperatures (occasionally).
  • Sharp tools, cutting equipment, and hazardous machinery.
  • Powered systems, high-voltage equipment, and moving mechanical parts.

The use of PPE, including hearing protection, eye and hand protection, and use of safety footwear is required
