Job summary

Metropolitan Cabinets & Countertops in Norwood, MA is hiring a full-time Experienced Machinist and Facility Manager to keep the Norwood factory/showroom safe, clean, and productive, with occasional travel to Natick, Wakefield, and Watertown locations.

You will perform routine mechanical and electrical repairs, oversee the preventative maintenance program, and coordinate with remote engineers to ensure equipment uptime and reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Mechanical repair experience in a production environment.
• Experience installing, repairing, or troubleshooting PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) preferred
• Understanding of both the metric and standard system
• Understanding, knowledge, and experience with production machinery
• Must be able to perform routine maintenance
• Ability to read manuals, electrical diagrams, drawings
• Ability to service and perform maintenance on machinery to a high standard
• PC literate
• Experience with CNC machinery
• Willingness to learn

Metropolitan Cabinets & Countertops have an immediate need for a full-time ExperiencedMachinists and Facility Manager.This position is located at our Norwood Factory/Showroom and requires some travel to our Natick, Wakefield, and Watertown MA locations.

The role of the maintenance mechanic at Metropolitan Cabinets & Countertops is to ensure a safe, clean and orderly building environment while maintaining a high level of equipment uptime.
