Job description

CNC Maintenance Repair Technician - 2nd Shift

Currently seeking a Maintenance Repair Technician (CNC) - 2nd Shift. This position is based at our Syracuse, New York facility with core hours of 2:30pm to 11:00pm.

What you'll do:

1. Tear down, determine extent of troubles, repair damaged electrical or mechanical mechanisms, or replace worn or defective parts, and reassemble following safety regulations.
2. Have a basic understanding of PLC logic and machine programming (Mcode/Gcode).
3. Adjust equipment to required specifications and check for effective operation.
4. Check machine cycle sequences, identify malfunctions, and perform repairs based on machine repair and electrical theories.
5. Perform electrical test operations.
6. Work from schematic diagrams, manuals, and testing procedures.
7. Troubleshoot defective printed circuit assembly boards.
8. Perform related electrical or mechanical duties as directed.
9. Report unusual cases to supervision.
10. Use judgment to follow instructions and make decisions.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Three years of documented CNC repair and maintenance experience in an industrial electrical/mechanical trade.
3. Experience with ladder logic circuit diagrams, motor control schematics, and blueprint reading.
4. Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
5. Reside within 50 miles of Syracuse facility.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Four or more years of CNC repair experience preferred.
2. Background in machining and electrical equipment.
3. Two-year degree in electronics or military electronics experience.
4. Experience with hydraulics.

Skills and Certifications:

Three years of CNC repair experience or Journeyman certification, proficiency with ladder logic diagrams, motor control schematics, and blueprint reading.
