Job summary

Metz Strategic Solutions in Carlisle, PA is seeking skilled machinists for vertical and horizontal mills and lathes in the Carlisle, Mechanicsburg and Dillsburg areas.

Candidates should be proficient with Mazak, Haas, or Mori-Seiki CNC machines using Fanuc and/or Mitsubishi controls, and versed in G&M code. Experience with 4/5 axis machining, metrology, and GD&T reading is required; CMM experience is a plus, Mastercam helpful. Over time may be available.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Mazak, Haas, or Mori-Seiki CNC machines using Fanuc and/or Mitsubishi controls.
• Versed in G&M code.
• Experience with 4/5 axis machining.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
• CMM operation or programming is a plus.
• Strong geometry/trigonometry understanding.

Responsibilities

• Setup production jobs with existing programs to run unmanned.
• Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
• Operate or assist in CMM measurements as needed.
• Maintain tight tolerances and verify parts with metrology tools.
• Troubleshoot setups and confirm first-article inspection results.
• Overtime work may be available.

Job description

We have openings for vertical and horizontal mills and lathes with various machining companies in the Carlisle, Mechanicsburg and Dillsburg areas.

Looking for machinists that are:

• Proficent with Mazak, Haas, or Mori-Seiki CNC machines using Fanuc and/or Mitsubishi controls.
• Versed in G&M code.
• Experience with 4/5 axis machining.
• Ability to take measurements with micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and other various tools of metrology as well as visual scopes/comparators
• CMM operation and programming experience a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and an understanding of geometric tolerancing is necessary.
• Ability to setup production jobs with existing programs to run unmanned.
• Mastercam experience would be great
• Able to demonstrate a solid grasp of geometry/trigonometry.
• Just need people who are going to be reliable. Overtime work available.
