Biomerics has immediate openings for talented CNC Machine Operators at our Monroe, CT facility. You will work in a team environment to ensure automated manufacturing processes produce optimal results with the Willemin machines.

Second shift and weekend shift are available; hours vary, with a 5PM-1AM second shift option and flexible weekend scheduling. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits are offered to qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of machine shop equipment and practice.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred but training is possible.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to work independently and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.
• Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
• Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
• Prepare and load raw materials onto the machines.
• Set up and run first pieces to verify that the machines produce outputs according to specifications.
• Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
• Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.

Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $40.00, depending on experience.

CNC Machinist (Willemin- our models)

2nd and weekend shift available

Second shift hours - 5PM-1AM

Weekend shift hours - Flexible

Traditional Swiss screw machining capability is also available for rapid prototyping and production.

In addition, Biomerics utilizes five axis milling machines capable of producing complex finished components, while holding extremely tight tolerances.

Requirements

Desired Skills, Talent, and Qualifications:

• Knowledge of machine shop equipment and practice, (actual machining experience a plus)
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
• Must have strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
• Ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential.
