Join to apply for the CNC Machinist - Weekend 2nd Shift role at MAX Aerostructures.

Max Aerostructures is currently hiring a CNC Machinist for our weekend shift (2nd shift). Hours are Friday through Sunday, 6 pm to 6:30 am. Work 36 hours and get paid for 40 hours!

Essential Functions include:

  • Study blueprints, sketches, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
  • Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines as necessary to machine parts as required.
  • Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media according to established guidelines and procedures.
  • Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust machine controls or control media as required.
  • Verify conformance of finished workpieces to specifications, using measuring and inspection tools as necessary.
  • Set up and operate machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.
  • Confer with production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of experience operating 3, 4, and 5-axis machines.
  • Knowledge of blueprints and CNC machines.
  • Ability to maintain machinery cleanliness and work area sanitation.

Physical requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, kneel, squat, and walk regularly.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination required.
  • Must adhere to safety procedures at all times.
