Job description

Max Aerostructures is currently hiring a CNC Machinist for our weekend 1st shift. Hours will be 6:00am-6:30pm Friday thru Sunday.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of blue prints and CNC Machines
  • Experience working with Mazak machines
  • Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in work area
Duties/Responsibilities

Essential functions include:

  • Study blueprints, sketches, sequence of operations and setup requirements
    Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines as necessary to machine parts as required.
  • Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media according to established guidelines and procedures.
  • Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out of tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
  • Verified conformance or finished work-piece to specifications, using measuring and inspection tools as necessary.
  • Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.
  • Confers with production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.
Physical Requirements

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as well as stand, sit, bend, kneel, squat and walk on a regular basis.
  • Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Must adhere to safety procedures at all times.
