POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for CNC Machinists and Jig Grinders to join our team. As a CNC Machinist, you will set up, operate, and clean machines to ensure efficient operations, prevent contamination, and achieve optimal utilization. Jig grinding is a specialized form of precision grinding used to produce highly accurate holes, contours, and surfaces on a wide variety of workpieces. At ADDMAN you’ll be part of a skilled and growing team pushing the limits of aerospace, fiber optics, and additive manufacturing.

These positions offer:

  • Up to a $10,000 sign on bonus based on experience!
  • Shift differentials for working the following hours:
    • 10% nights
    • 15% weekend days
    • 20% weekend nights
  • Quarterly bonus!

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Setup, operate, and perform daily maintenance on manufacturing machines
  • Strictly adheres to proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Makes high quality parts to specifications and identifies acceptable quality of work while meeting time standards
  • Helps develop workable methods for machining operations
  • Makes proper use of machines, tooling, and inspection equipment
  • Sets up tools, fixtures, machines and selects/uses inspection equipment and techniques
  • Inspecting sizes and geometries down to .0002”
  • Deburrs and finishes at high level of quality
  • Provides leadership and guidance to less experienced machinists
  • Recognize potential problems, resolve process issues, and suggest solutions
  • Additional duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of related two-year vocational school program is preferred.
  • Three years related work experience and/or training is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient on manual and CNC mills and/or manual and CNC lathes, hand filing, and deburring process.
  • Proficient at programming and makes full use of all the CNC control functions.
  • Preference for proficiency using: Surface grinder, Cylindrical grinder, Manual jig grinder, CNC jig grinder, Wire EDM, Small hole EDM, Hone, Lapping, Filing, Stoning, Polishing, Assembly, Internal and External diameters, Outside and Internal diameters, Locations, Geometries.
  • Ability to interpret blueprint drawings and specifications.
  • Computer aptitude (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel).
  • Eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shops, and other mandatory safety equipment.
  • For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Sit or stand as needed.
  • Walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.
  • Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist, or lifting as required to reach documents or store materials throughout the workday.
  • Proper lifting techniques required.
  • Ability and comfortability to work in small confine spaces while following proper safety protocol.
