Hartman Enterprises, Inc. in Oneida, NY is seeking a dependable CNC Machine Operator to contribute to a diverse aerospace/defense project slate. You will read blueprints, set up and run CNC mills/lathes, document production and inspection, and ensure quality in a precision shop.

Ideal candidates have CNC experience, accuracy with measuring tools, and a strong commitment to safety and standards. Day shift; overtime and ongoing development opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC machine operation experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate CNC equipment once trained and setup is complete.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Experience using precision measuring tools preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work independently once trained.
• Willingness to learn and follow established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mills and/or lathes safely and efficiently after setup is complete.
• Load and unload parts, materials, fixtures, and tooling.
• Follow job travelers, setup sheets, work instructions, and production documentation.
• Read blueprints and understand dimensional tolerances.
• Perform in-process inspection using calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, and other measuring equipment.
• Monitor machine operation for tool wear, alarms, defects, or abnormal conditions.
• Make basic tool wear offsets when trained and authorized.
• Communicate tooling, dimensional, machine, or quality concerns to the appropriate team member.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
• Deburr parts as required.
• Keep machines and work areas clean and organized.
• Follow all company safety, quality, AS9100, and ISO procedures.
