MTI Motion is seeking a CNC Machinist-Turning for 1st or 2nd shift to operate 3- and 4-axis CNC turning machines with Fanuc controls in a busy job-shop. You'll perform changeovers, run first-piece inspections, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances.)

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of turning experience, strong GD&T knowledge, and the ability to document QA results. ISO-9001/AS-9100 environments are common here.

Formación

• High School or GED diploma required; CNC degree or journeyman status preferred.
• Experience setting up and operating 3- and 4-axis CNC turning machines.
• Familiarity with Fanuc G & M programming code and part measurement.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The CNC Machinist will be familiar with operating Haas, Mori Seiki, Hwacheon 3 & 4 Axis CNC Turning Machines using Fanuc controls in a job-shop environment. Perform complete changeovers and achieve first piece inspections through executing required program edits / offsets. Accurately measure parts and complete associated quality documentation while ensuring production output is achieved. Operate other CNC Turning or Milling Machines when needed

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Retrieve job related information: routing, drawing, program, inspection sheets, etc.
• Review raw material for dimensions, quantity, defects, maintain heat lot traceability
• Perform all change-over related activities through first piece inspection, edits-offsets
• Utilize precision tools and gages to measure part features / dimensions and document results according to in-process quality inspection requirements and AQL sampling intervals.
• Detect and troubleshoot machining and programming issues as they occur
• Operate secondary equipment to finish and clean parts for subsequent operations
• Maintain high level of awareness and attention to detail to achieve quality and production results
• Utilize PC or Laptop to record labor and production information
• Train other operators as needed on job related items
• Follows prescribed safety rules and procedures for all work
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and keep work area in a clean orderly condition.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• 3-5 five years of experience set up and operating 3 & 4 Axis CNC Turning Machines
• Extensive knowledge of part drawings, GD&T, and associated shop math
• Experience with Fanuc controls using G & M programming code
• Strong knowledge of material types and characteristics related to machining techniques
• Proficiently measure exacting tolerances on a consistent basis with shop tools, gages, equip.
• Ability to operate or program CMM’s would be a plus for any candidate
• Experience working within ISO-9001 and AS-9100 quality machining environments
• High School or GED diploma, CNC Degree, Journeyman Machinist
