Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC VTLs, lathes, and NC Mills.
• Check work center status and report issues to supervisor.
• Validate programs by producing a proof part for review.
• Perform first article inspection and make necessary adjustments.
• Conduct in-process inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Perform setups, edit programs and run production of parts.
• Use precision gauges, micrometers and other measurement instruments to validate product compliance.

Primary Responsibilities

• The CNC Machinist is responsible for the set up and operation of (CNC) VTL, lathes, and NC Mills.
• Check work center status at the beginning of the shift and report any issues to the supervisor in charge.
• Validate programs as required by producing a proof part for review.
• Perform own first article inspection and make adjustments as necessary.
• Perform in-process inspections of production parts to maintain and ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Perform setups, edit programs and run production of parts.
• Use precision gauges, micrometers and other applicable measurement instruments to validate compliance of product.
