Job summary

MC Molds Inc is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for the third shift to join our team. The role requires setting up and running 3-axis and 5-axis milling centers, reading blueprints, and applying GD&T fundamentals to mold components.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience with Heidenhain, Fanuc or Hurco controls, be able to run multiple machines, and be willing to work overtime or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years CNC machining experience on Heidenhain, Fanuc or Hurco controls
• Able to read and interpret blueprints
• Knowledge of GD&T fundamentals
• Able to set up and operate 3-axis and/or 5-axis CNC mills
• Willing to work overtime and weekends when needed
• Knowledge of speeds and feeds for various materials
• Capable of running multiple CNC machines concurrently
• Horizontal CNC milling experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Download required CNC programs to the controller
• Set up and operate 3-axis and/or 5-axis vertical CNC milling machines
• Create and edit CNC milling programs at the controller when needed
• Collaborate with the programming department to determine the most efficient process for making mold components
• Inspect parts during and after machining using inspection tools

Requirements

• Must be able to set up and run 3 and/ or 5 axis CNC machining centers.
• A minimum of 2 full years of CNC machining using Heidenhein, Fanuc and/or Hurco controls
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
• Must understand GD&T fundamentals
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of good fixture and jig practices.
• Willingly to work overtime and on the weekends when needed
• Knowledge of proper speeds and feeds for machining a variety of materials
• Capable of running multiple CNC machines at the same time.
• Knowledge and experience running horizontal CNC milling machines is a plus.

Job Responsibilities

• Download required CNC programs to controller
• Set up and operate 3-axis and/or 5-axis vertical CNC milling machines.
• Create and edit CNC milling programs at the controller when needed
• Work with the CNC programming department to determine the most efficient process for making a variety of mold components.
