JBT Marel in Cleveland, Ohio is seeking a CNC Machinist TEMP to join our production team reporting to the Production Supervisor.

The role focuses on precision machining using CNC programming, reading drawings, and setting up machines. You will work onsite at the Cleveland facility and contribute to quality and efficiency in our manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Able to cut away material from a solid block to form a finished part.
• Apply knowledge of material properties with CNC programming to meet precise specifications.
• Require knowledge of computers, CNC, and basics of programming and CAM.
• Analyze drawings to determine dimensions, tooling, and speeds based on specs.
• Perform set ups in a timely manner and set up tooling and machine paths.
• Read micrometers and calipers and verify machine instructions against programs.
• Maintain housekeeping and complete quality paperwork accurately.

Cleveland, OH As our CNC Machinist TEMP – you will report to the Production Supervisor.

On a given day, you may:

• Able to cut away material from a solid block of metal, plastic, glass, or other materials to form a finished part.
• Able to apply knowledge of the working properties of materials with CNC programming and knowledge to design and carry out the operations needed to make machined products that meet precise specifications.
• Require knowledge of computers and electronics, computer numerical control, and basics of programming and computer aided manufacturing.
• Ability to analyze drawings, sketches and design data of part to determine dimensions and configurations of cuts, selection of cutting tools and machine speed and feed rates and according to machine shop processes, part specifications and machine capabilities.
• Able to perform set ups in timely manner.
• Must be able to determine reference points and direction of machine cutting paths.
• Able to read micrometers and calipers.
• Able to set up tooling and operation of machine.
• Able to read program to determine G&M codes.
• Compare analyze set-up sheet with existing program sheet to assure accuracy of machine instructions.
• Observe operation of machine on trial run to prove programmed instructions.
• Complete quality paperwork accurately.
• Maintain good housekeeping of working area.

You will be fully onsite at our Cleveland, OH facility.
