Job summary

Alamo Structural Steel, LLC is a Texas-based structural steel fabricator seeking a Machine Operator to set up and operate drill lines, anglematic, brake presses, burn tables, and more. You will read blueprints, select and position machines, adjust settings, and ensure on-time production while maintaining safety standards.

The role includes day and evening shifts with weekend options and differential pay, plus 6:00am–3:30pm or 4:30pm–3:00am schedules; experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Six months of experience operating production machinery preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Rigorously inspect materials before, during, and after processing for quality.
• Read and interpret manufacturing work orders and cut-sheets.
• Ensure machines operate safely and correctly.
• Provide basic maintenance to machines to keep them running.
• Prepare materials and mount coil in the hub for processing.
• Operate hoists and plan preventative maintenance for production functions.
• Diagnose faults and troubleshoot to keep lines running.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and comply with policies.
