Responsibilities
- Operate, setup, and program edit CNC machines, and produce dev, non-flight, and flight hardware needed to achieve quick turn program goals.
- Perform precision set-ups of various CNC machines on state-of-the-art assets (preferably Okuma mill-turn).
- Prioritize daily work to meet customer need dates with high-quality parts.
- Manage cutting tools in CNC machines to ensure proper loading and measurement before upcoming programs.
- Perform on-machine deburr of hardware to ensure consistent quality with less human intervention.
- Perform preventative maintenance on CNC machines weekly and monthly.
- Maintain the shop environment, including chip bins, oils, greases, 5S, and general upkeep.
- Remain flexible in a fast-paced, changing environment and support teammates as needed.
- Complete work instructions and test plans to document data during each process.
- Introduce innovative ideas in machining, fixturing, and tooling for efficiency.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
- 3+ years of experience in CNC machining.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of CNC machinery operation experience.
- Ability to program using Esprit CAD/CAM software.
- Proficiency in high-efficiency milling and turning.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic accurately.
- Experience in shop math, tooling technology, blueprint reading, and measurement of parts.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Capacity to learn all shop assets and cross-train peers.
Additional Requirements
- Start time: 1st shift (5:00 AM).
- Capable of lifting 35 lbs. unassisted.
- Ability to stand and kneel for 8 hours.
- Ability to perform physical and repetitive movements.
- Exposure to noise levels that may be distracting.
Pay Range
Level 1: $23.00 - $27.00/hour
Level 2: $26.00 - $32.50/hour
Level 3: $31.00 - $38.00/hour
Salary is determined based on experience, skills, and education, and may include additional incentives and benefits such as stock options, bonuses, comprehensive health coverage, 401(k), paid leave, and holidays.
