Job summary

Sora Resource Group is seeking a skilled Machinist to set up and operate CNC mills and lathes, and to program and edit machine operations. You will work with diverse materials and customer-specific setups, ensuring tight tolerances and quality.

The role requires a strong quality mindset and teamwork across engineering and production. Candidates should have 3–5 years of machining experience, the ability to read blueprints, and experience with tooling and fixtures.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in machinist tech or tool and die tech.
• 3–5 years machining experience in manufacturing/job shop.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications with precision.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, and conventional equipment.
• Program and edit machine operations using G-code/M-code and conversational languages.
• Measure and inspect parts to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Review drawings and specs to determine machining requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Build fixtures for drilling, milling, turning operations.
• Follow 5S and continuous improvement practices.
