Job summary

Professional Plastics is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. You will set up, program and operate CNC machines to produce parts per drawings and process sheets.

The role requires reading blueprints, performing quality inspection, and maintaining equipment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and CNC certification is a plus; forklift certification is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; CNC training preferred.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC machines in a production environment.
• CNC machine certification is a plus.
• Forklift certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, programs and operates CNC machines.
• Plans and performs a variety of machine operations utilizing numerical controlled machines to machine plastic or metal pieces to specifications.
• Interprets drawings, program sheets, and process sheets to determine work to be done.
• Performs diversified operations on numerical controlled machines.
• Reviews setup sheet and specifications to determine sequence and dimensions of finished work piece.
• Attaches fixtures to machine according to setup instructions.
• Manipulates controls to start machine and monitors operation for malfunctions.
• Performs inspection and gauging to ensure quality standards and specifications.
