Job description

We are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist with 3-5+ years experience to set up, maintain and operate Mazak CNC machines including Turning Centers/Mill-Turn Centers and Vertical Milling Centers. You will ensure the efficient setup and operation of a high mix of machined components using the latest cutting tool technologies. A great machine operator is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. On-the-job training is a good way to discover how to do the job better, so you should have willingness to learn and improve. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers. The goal will be to ensure that production procedures will be carried on smoothly to maximize efficiency and profits.

Responsibilities

  • Set up machines (program loading/writing/editing, tool selection/loading, part qualifying) to start a job cycle
  • Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speeds/feeds)
  • Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
  • Fix issues that might occur during the shift

Skills

  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist
  • Working knowledge of CNC Machining Centers and measurement tools (calipers, micrometers etc.)
  • Understanding of production procedures
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
  • Ability to read prints
  • Analytical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Teamwork and communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Hours: 4-12s (5am - 5 pm) 1stand 2ndshift for weekdays and 3-12s (5 am - 5 pm) 1stand 2ndshift for weekends.

Pay: $28.00 - $42.00 per hour, dependent on skillset
