Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Senior Machinist / Construction & Field Ops Lead for a remote, contract role. The position offers $55 - $100/hour with an expected 10-40 hours per week, focusing on advanced machining reviews, GD&T interpretation, and safety-aligned plan assessments.

You will work independently on remote projects, review sketches and codes, and deliver precise input on technical construction, fire, and mining plans. This role requires strong communication and field applicability.

Qualifications

• Master machinist or equivalent with construction/field ops experience.
• Strong knowledge of US construction, fire, or mining codes and standards.
• Expertise in CNC programming, machining processes, and GD&T application.
• Ability to explain complex scenarios in writing and verbally.

• Ability to analyze and explain complex scenarios in written and verbal formats.
• Experience reviewing fire and building plans with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.
