Job summary

Norbar Torque Tools is seeking a CNC Machinist/Programmer to support engineering through precision machining and programming. The role involves reading blueprints, setting up CNC centers, and maintaining CAM systems while ensuring parts meet prints and specifications.

Responsibilities include operating milling and turning centers, performing inspection, and coordinating with vendors for secondary operations. A high school diploma and 3+ years' relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret drawings and follow routers.
• Prior knowledge operating and programming CNC machines is required.
• CAM and/or 3D modeling are highly desirable.
• Valid driver's license and ability to use basic measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Performs machine shop operations to support engineering.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions.
• Maintains clean and safe work area and equipment.
• Operates milling, turning, drilling, tapping, deburring and inspection tasks.
• Maintains CAM system and performs daily programming on parts.
• Program, operate and troubleshoot CNC machining centers.
• Inspects parts against provided prints and routings.
• Sets up run operations on CNC machines with or without supervision.
• Maintains and organizes tooling inventory.
• Collaborates with engineering on design for manufacturing.
• Transport parts and coordinate with outside vendors for finishing.
