MillPro Metal Works, LLC in Phoenix, AZ is hiring a CNC Machinist/Programmer to join a veteran-owned precision shop specializing in aerospace and defense parts. The role encompasses programming, setup, operation, inspection and shipment of tight-tolerance components.

You will work with Haas lathes and 5-axis mills, optimize toolpaths in Fusion 360, and design fixtures for complex parts while maintaining tight tolerances and supporting AS9102 FAIRs.

Qualifications

• Hands-on CNC programming and operation for lathes and 5-axis mills.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T expertise.
• Experience with titanium, Inconel or hard-to-machine materials.
• Proficiency with toolpath optimization and setup.

Responsibilities

• Program CAD/CAM, set up and run Haas lathes and 5-axis mills from print to finished part.

Now Hiring: CNC Machinist / Programmer – Lathe + 5-Axis Mill | Phoenix, AZ

MillPro Metal Works is a veteran-owned precision CNC shop in Phoenix that builds tight-tolerance parts for aerospace and defense. We're a small team, so every person matters. We're looking for a machinist who can do the whole job: program it, set it up, run it, inspect it and ship it.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Program CAD & CAM, set up and run Haas lathes and 5-axis mills from print to finished part
• Write and optimize toolpaths in Fusion 360, including multi-axis, turning and live tooling work
• Design workholding and fixtures for complex, low-to-mid-volume aerospace parts
• Hold tight tolerances (±.0005" and tighter) on aluminum, stainless, titanium and exotic alloys
• Run first-article and in-process inspection, and support AS9102 FAIRs, GD&T
• Edit G-code at the control and troubleshoot programs, setups and machines on the fly
• Improve cycle times, tool life and processes, and help train less experienced machinists

WHAT YOU NEED

• At least 5 years of hands-on CNC experience programming and running BOTH lathes and mills
• Proven 5-axis milling experience (3+2 and simultaneous)
• Deep knowledge of Haas machines and controls (NGC), including work offsets, tool setting, probing and macros
• Expert blueprint reading and GD&T
• Skilled with precision inspection tools: mics, bore gauges, height gauge, pin and thread gauges, indicators
• Experience with titanium, Inconel or other hard-to-machine materials
• U.S. Person status required (ITAR-controlled work)
• Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for a full shift

PREFERRED

• Associate's degree in machining, manufacturing or engineering technology
• Experience in an AS9100 or ISO 9001 environment
• Mill-turn, Y-axis or bar feeder experience
• Fusion 360 post-processor editing
• CMM programming or operation
• Military veterans encouraged to apply
