This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

As part of a diverse and hardworking team of Machinists, NC Programmers and Technicians you will:

1. Setup, operate and maintain world-class CNC machines to fabricate components for various spaceflight systems.
2. Share in the team’s impact on all aspects of CNC machining and fabrication.
3. Be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of CNC machines and equipment to produce accurate components enabling first article success on tight tolerance, high value parts.

Must be able to work one or more of the following shifts:

• A Shift - Monday - Thursday 5:00 am - 3:30 pm
• B Shift - Monday - Thursday 3:00 pm - 1:30 am
• C Shift - Friday, Saturday, Sunday 5:00 am - 5:30 pm
• D Shift - Friday, Saturday, 5:00 pm - 5:30 am

Qualifications:

• Seven (7) years related CNC experience.
• Two (2) years’ experience with multi-axis machines.
• Desired - Two (2) years’ experience with CNC programming.
• OR - 15+ years Manual/Tool and Die experience.
• CNC programming skills, preferably NX 10 thru 2306.
• Experience with one or more of the following CNC machines: Mazak, Hass, DMG Mori, Mori Seiki, Hermle, and/or Okuma.
• Working knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, OSP or other CNC controls.
• Excellent blueprint reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard.
• Familiar with the use of personal computers.
• Ability to provide Design for Manufacturing feedback.
• Must be physically able to climb ladders, stairs, work in small/restricted areas, and lift and carry 25 lbs.
• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired:

• Tooling and fixture design.
• Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) experience.
• Outside processing knowledge including: heat treat, plating, coating, EDM, grinding, etc.
• CMM programming/operation experience.
• Conversational programming on the machine.
• Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts.
