Job summary

DuBose National Energy in Clinton, North Carolina is seeking a CNC Machinist with 3–5 years of hands-on experience to program, setup, and operate 4-axis CNC vertical/horizontal centers and CNC turning centers using G-code. You will read prints and ensure tight tolerances while maintaining tooling and shop cleanliness.

Proven ability to measure parts with metrology equipment and work overtime as needed. Knowledge of GD&T and BobCam/SmartCam is a plus in a Fortune 500 environment under Reliance,

Qualifications

• 3–5 years CNC programming and machining experience
• Program at the machine using G-code
• Measure parts with calipers/micrometers
• Follow directions to meet shop goals
• Positive can-do attitude and strong work ethic
• Willing to work overtime
• Knowledge of SmartCam or BobCam is a plus
• Knowledge of GD&T
• Knowledge of ANSI B4.2-78 metric limits and fits
• Wire EDM or die-sinker EDM experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Program, setup and operate 4-axis CNC vertical/horizontal centers using G-code
• Program, setup and operate CNC turning centers using G-code
• Select tooling to machine components per prints
• Read and interpret machining prints per ASME Y14.5
• Identify worn tooling and adjust offsets
• Machine components to prints and tolerances
• Use calipers and micrometers to inspect parts
• Hold tolerances to +/- .002
• Keep the shop clean and organized
