Salary: $20 - $35 per hour

A bit about us:

Jobot is hiring for experienced CNC Machinists/Programmers for our client in Menomonee Falls. 2nd & 3rd shifts available. Special consideration and shift premiums for 2nd and 3rd shift. Shifts are 3-11PM and 11-7AM.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. 5-7 years of machinist experience
  2. Mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and perform geometric, algebraic and trigonometric calculations
  3. Accredited apprenticeship or equivalent training together with considerable experience in machine shop practices and techniques plus additional training to acquire a working knowledge of programming numerically controlled machine tools or CNC machining equipment and operations
  4. Must be able to perform metric conversions
  5. Must be able to read and understand blueprints, specifications and routings
  6. Requires G&M code experience
  7. Experience on conversational controls a plus
  8. Must be able to calculate own feeds and speeds
  9. Must be able to show good understanding of geometric tolerancing

Job Details:

Get ready for an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills as a CNC Machinist/Programmer in the dynamic Manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position, where you will be working with a team of professionals dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of quality and precision. Responsibilities for the CNC Machinist/Programmer:

  1. Consistently able to design and develop accurate programs in a timely manner.
  2. Reliably able to run both new and repetitive jobs efficiently.
  3. Set-up, check programs and operate numerically controlled machine tools and/or CNC machining equipment to perform a complex series of progressive machining operations to meet precise tolerance and finish requirements.
  4. Understand program format and fixturing. Able to arrange, mount and secure workpiece in absence of fixturing.
  5. Set stop; calibrate fixturing to appropriate reference points.
  6. Install programs and/or cards in consoles reader and correlates machine position with controls.
  7. Manually cycles machine through an operation sequence to check fixture and work positions, tooling, clearances, speeds, feeds, etc.
  8. Adjust machine or console to correct deviations from program specifications.
  9. Recognize, report and correct errors.
  10. Recommend tooling and operational sequence to assist in developing practical programming for new and unusual machining requirements.
  11. May set-up for and instruct machine operators of lower classification.
  12. Able to troubleshoot and diagnose operating difficulties and make adjustments.
  13. Work from detailed and involved part drawings and specifications.
