Job summary

HEICO in Vista, CA seeks a skilled machinist who will work with the Machine Shop Programmer and Engineers to ensure parts meet company standards. You will analyze orders, drawings, specs, and design data to select tooling, speeds, feeds, and perform setups with minimal guidance.

You will conduct in-process quality inspections, record results, propose process improvements to reduce variation, and participate in internal training to enhance capabilities and maintain high-quality output.

Responsibilities

• Complete set-ups without the need for assistance
• Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, specifications, and design data to determine the appropriate machine tool, work holding and cutter selection, machine speeds, and feed rates
• Responsible for all phases of part operation includes set-up to achieve first article acceptance
• Perform and maintain accurate in-process quality inspection and records
• Identify and recommend process improvements that reduce part quality variation
• Input data into visual management forms and convey results to management
• Continuously improve processes, procedures, and eliminate waste
• Required participation in internal training as needed to perform the duties assigned to this role.
• Other duties as assigned.
