Boiler Tube Company of America is seeking a skilled Machinist to set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools to fabricate, modify, and repair components for boiler systems. The candidate will read blueprints, measure parts, and ensure tolerances while collaborating with welders and quality personnel.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to 5S principles in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to continuous improvement are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical training in machining or equivalent experience preferred.
• 3+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficient in the use of precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, and other machine tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
• Measure and inspect parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Machine parts to required tolerances and specifications.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Verify dimensions and quality of finished products.
• Work closely with welders, fabricators, and quality personnel to meet production schedules.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with 5S principles.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
