Job summary

AHU Technologies in Los Alamos, NM is seeking a dependable Class B Machinist to join our manufacturing team. You will set up and operate CNC and manual machines, read drawings, and produce parts to tolerance while following established procedures.

The role requires hands-on machining experience, understanding of CNC practices, and attention to quality. You will work with senior machinists and QA to ensure part integrity and documentation is complete.

Qualifications

• : Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, dimensions and tolerances.
• : Following established procedures and work instructions.
• : Operating CNC and manual equipment with supervision as needed.
• : Performing in-process inspections with precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment.
• Manufacture parts per drawings, specs and instructions.
• Read blueprints and GD&T to verify tolerances.
• Select tooling and adjust machines as required.
• Verify tooling offsets and setup information during machining.
• Perform in-process inspections with calipers, micrometers and indicators.
• Document production and inspection results accurately.
• Report any concerns to supervisors or QA personnel.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and machines.
• Collaborate with senior machinists and production staff.
