Snap-on in Murphy, NC is seeking a Machinist to set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment in a hands-on manufacturing environment. You will support production of close-tolerance parts and tooling, ensuring quality and efficiency.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and machining experience; a technical school background is a plus. Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Machining experience required.
• Technical school courses or similar experience are a plus.
• Strong mechanical/technical aptitude; able to read blueprints and work from sketches.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up CNC and manual machining equipment.
• Troubleshoot basic tooling and machining issues.
• Produce close-tolerance fixtures, tools, and gages.
• Read and interpret blueprints or drawings (training provided).
• Use precision measuring tools to inspect parts (training provided).
• Follow SOPs, safety guidelines, and work instructions.
• Communicate issues to supervisors and team members.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Perform basic routine machine maintenance.
• Participate in continuous improvement and lean efforts.
