CURT G. Joa Inc. seeks a skilled Machinist to manufacture parts per print specifications using a range of machining centers. The role emphasizes precise measurement, safe setup, and adherence to quality standards in a busy shop environment.

The ideal candidate will read blueprints, use correct tooling and settings, and contribute to a clean, safe workplace while supporting other shop tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires education generally equivalent to a High School diploma.
• 2–3 years of experience preferred but not required.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and routings.
• Must be able to collaborate with others to proactively develop solutions.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must be able to work with standard and metric measurements.

Responsibilities

• Operate one or more grinding, lathe, saw and milling machines to manufacture parts per blueprints.
• Set up, adjust and run machines safely and efficiently.
• Review blueprints and select tooling and settings for each work order.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area; follow safety procedures.
• Perform quality checks and measurements to ensure conformance to specs.
• Handle occasional forklift operation and basic shop support tasks.
• Support other departments with machining and deburring as needed.
