Job summary

Plastic Distributors & Fabricators, LLC (PDF) in Haverhill, MA, is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC machines for plastic components. The role requires reading blueprints, using G-code, and ensuring dimensional accuracy, with safety and ISO processes followed.

The position offers full-time direct labor with competitive hourly pay and benefits including health insurance, 401(k) and paid time off. Weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; trade or technical certification desired.
• 2 years’ experience in a like environment highly desired.
• Familiarity with G-code and other programming languages.
• Working knowledge of fixturing and tooling set up.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications.
• Working knowledge of machine set ups and tooling.
• Familiarity with micrometer, caliper, and height gauge.

Responsibilities

• Studies specifications such as blueprint, sketch, damaged part, or description of part to be machined to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions for stock layout.
• Operates lathe, milling machine, shaper, or grinder to machine parts per specifications.
• Verifies conformance of work using measuring instruments.
• Assist in diagnosing malfunctions and testing repaired machines.
• Adheres to safety procedures and ISO inspection processes.
• Document time and job activity accurately.
