Job summary

Express Employment Professionals – Cincinnati East is seeking a CNC Machine Operator / Machinist in Oroville, CA. This long-term position offers $18-$20 per hour DOE and a Monday–Friday schedule from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

You will operate CNC equipment, load and measure parts, perform basic setup, check quality with calipers and gauges, and maintain a clean, safe work area. Benefits include 401(k) and health care insurance.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of CNC experience.
• Basic machining and measuring tool knowledge.
• Ability to read work instructions/drawings.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC equipment using established programs and procedures.
• Measure and cut raw metal material to the required length.
• Load, position, and secure material in the CNC machine.
• Perform basic machine setup and zeroing before running parts.
• Run CNC programs and monitor the machine during operation.
• Remove completed parts and repeat production processes consistently.
• Perform basic quality checks using calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Operate a machinist's lathe for basic and repetitive machining tasks.
• Operate band saws, grinders, drill presses, and other common shop equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Identify and report equipment, tooling, or quality issues.
