Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in Shelton, CT is seeking a qualified manufacturing associate to operate and set up Mills and Mill-turn machines within our CNC shop. You will inspect your own work with micrometers, calipers, a height gauge, and an optical comparator, ensuring strict adherence to quality and production standards.

The role requires basic math, English reading/writing, and the ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read, write English and do basic math.
• Physically able to lift 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate and setup Mills and Mill turn machines in the CNC Machine Shop.
• Inspect own work using micrometers, calipers, height gage and optical comparator.
• Maintain quality and production standards.
• Perform secondary operations as required.
• Incorporate lean practices into daily activities.
• Participate on continuous improvement teams.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Willing to work overtime.
