Job summary

Equiliem is hiring a CNC Machinist - Set-up for Glenolden, PA. You will set up and operate CNC mills and lathes, interpret blueprints, and troubleshoot with engineering in a production environment.

The role requires GD&T interpretation, tool sharpening, and the ability to run multiple axis machines. Training and safety PPE are provided; benefits accompany a comprehensive package.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • 3 years of experience in trade as a machinist or tool maker.
  • Resides within 50 miles of the location.
  • US person within the meaning of ITAR (US Citizen, US Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).
  • Preferred CAD/design drafting experience and MasterCAM CNC programming.

CNC Machinist - Set-up Glenolden, PA Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 11:15pm Pay: $30.48 per hour 26-09841 Job summary

The CNC Machinist - Set-upis responsible for setting up and operating various CNC mills and lathes to produce parts according to engineering technical drawings. This role involves interpreting blueprints, manufacturing parts to specifications, and assisting with troubleshooting and process development in a production environment.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret blueprints generated per ANSI/ASME Y14.5 guidelines (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing).
  • Manufacture parts conforming to specifications.
  • Set up and run CNC lathes (3 & 4.5 axis) and CNC mills (4 & 5 axis) in a production environment.
  • Interpret and edit G-code NC programs.
  • Set up and operate simple machine tools such as drill presses, manual presses, saws, and shears.
  • Set up and operate manual lathes and/or mills.
  • Sharpen various cutting tools.
  • Inspect GD&T features using inspection techniques such as vernier, micrometers, indicators, comparators, bore mics, surface plate, and Coordinate Measuring Machines.
  • Assist Manufacturing Engineering with intermediate and advanced troubleshooting on machining products.
  • Assist Manufacturing Engineering with process development and tool identification.
  • Train others on machines and processes within the Value Stream.
  • Identify and initiate continuous improvement for product safety, quality, and efficiency (cost).

Specialized Knowledge
  • Proficiency in trigonometry.
  • Tool sharpening including boring bars, drills on Darex, tree pan tools.
  • Ability to run most equipment in turning or milling.
  • Proficient in print reading and inspection, including CMM (milling).
  • Ability to use a personal computer.
Additional Information
  • Position requires use of PPE such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and gloves as needed.
Minimum Educational and Qualification Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
