Job summary

9 Mothers Corporation, based in Austin, TX, is seeking a CNC Machinist to join a two-person shop in a direct-hire, full-time role. This onsite position supports rapid prototyping and field-ready hardware development for defense applications.

You bring about five years of stick time on CNC mills and lathes, program parts in Mastercam, and perform setup, inspection, and documentation across aluminum, steel, and titanium parts. Expect a flexible schedule coordinated with the Machine Shop Manager.

Qualifications

• About 5 years in a working machine shop with CNC mills and lathes.
• You write your own programs from CAD in CAM (Mastercam).
• Setup, fixturing, offsets, first-article proof-out and tight tolerance control.

Responsibilities

• Program parts from CAD to toolpaths in Mastercam; set up and run mills and lathes.
• Handle manual machines, sawing, deburring, tapping, fitting and assembly.
• Inspect using surface plate, GD&T and measuring tools; document results.
• Coordinate with the Machine Shop Manager to manage queue and lead times.
