The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with manual and CNC machining, technical communication skills and be proficient in blueprint reading. Qualifications

  • Prior machine shop experience required.
  • Must have at least 2-3 years manual and CNC machining.

Responsibilities

  • Machine parts to specifications using machines such as Horizontal Boring Mills and Vertical Turning Lathes.
  • Understand and edit G code and M code programs.
  • Check work pieces for alignment and materials.

CNC Machinist / NS (Manufacturing)

At WeldFit, the position of CNC Machinist is responsible for operating the CNC Mills in the shop by performing the duties and responsibilities below

  • Machine parts to specifications using machines such as: Horizontal Boring Mills and Vertical Turning Lathes
  • Able to understand and edit G code and M code programs
  • Understand speeds and feeds for machining and proper set ups
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as calipers and micrometers
  • Set up, adjust and operate all machines
  • Check work pieces to ensure alignment and materials onto machines
  • Clean lubricate machines as needed
  • Monitor the feed and speed of the manual and CNC machines
  • Work and think safety at all times

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior machine shop experience required
  • Must have at least 2-3 years manual and CNC machining
