Job summary

Verus-Aerospace in Tacoma, WA seeks a skilled CNC Machinist for multiple shifts to set up and operate CNC equipment, including 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines, producing precision aerospace components. Candidates will inspect parts and ensure conformance with specs using gauges and micrometers.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines, milling machines, and end mills to produce parts, mainly from inconel and titanium.
• Take measurements with gauges, calipers, indicators, and micrometers to ensure accurate setup.
• Maintain specifications by observing drilling and cutting, troubleshooting, and adjusting controls.
• Set up and troubleshoot machines for large complex parts.
• Able to manufacture fixturing.
• Approve part specifications using layout methods.
• Expertise in CNC or Profile.
• Other duties as assigned.

CNC Machinist (Multiple Shifts)

Salary Range: $28.28 To $39.96 Annually

Position Summary

Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts. Maintain safe, organized and clean work environment. Responsible for set up, inspection, first part buy, and other duties as assigned using a variety of 3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis, multi-spindle and single-spindle CNC machines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as CNC machines, milling machines, and end mills to produce manufactured parts primarily out of inconel and titanium.
• Take measurements to adequately ensure the accurate set-up, with the use of tools such as; gauges, calipers, indicators and micrometers.
• Maintains specifications by observing drilling and cutting; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting controls; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
• Set up and trouble shoot machines for large complex parts.
• Able to manufacture fixturing.
• Approves part specifications utilizing hard layout methodologies.
• Expertise in CNC or Profile
• Other duties as assigned.
