Job summary

Bear Staffing Services, Inc. in Olive Branch, MS is seeking a CNC Operator for 1st and 2nd shift to set up and run CNC mills and lathes to produce precision metal parts per engineering specs.

You will read blueprints, load materials, adjust offsets, perform quality checks with calipers and micrometers, and document production and maintenance logs while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• CNC operation/setup: set up, load, and operate CNC mills and lathes for drilling, milling, and precision machining tasks.
• Blueprint reading: read mechanical drawings and engineering blueprints, job logs, and production routers.
• Precision measurement: use calipers, micrometers, gauges to inspect parts against tolerances.
• Machine maintenance: perform test runs, adjust settings, and conduct daily checks/maintenance on equipment.
• Math skills: apply shop math to ensure zero-defect output and safe shop-floor operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce parts per engineering specs.
• Read blueprints, load raw materials, and adjust machine offsets/settings.
• Perform quality checks on finished parts using calipers and precision measuring tools.
• Maintain production records, routers, and daily equipment maintenance logs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area according to plant safety guidelines.
