Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / Milling with the ability to set up and operate a CNC vertical machining center working to extremely close tolerances. The ideal candidate will excel at working collaboratively, show initiative, and demonstrate sufficient experience with CNC machining within a production environment. Prior experience with “G” and “M” code and the ability to interpret machine function to make necessary adjustments and tool offsets to allow for optimal efficiency and performance.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Setup and operation of a vertical milling machine utilizing various fixtures.
  • Proper selection and setting of a variety of tools.
  • Ability to determine appropriate feed and speed rates to produce components efficiently and within dimensional quality and finish specifications.
  • Experience working with a variety of materials.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and prints and CAD models to modify or create CNC programs.
  • Experience following work instructions and dispatch lists.
  • Inspection of components utilizing various metrology instruments including micrometers and calipers.
  • Assist or instruct others in the techniques and use of the equipment.
  • Perform daily/weekly maintenance on machine.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Three to five years of previous experience operating in a similar position in a manufacturing facility.
  • High school diploma with additional technical training, or technical schooling.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a collaborative environment.
  • Mathematical aptitude to include knowledge of typical machining formulas, functions, and geometry.
  • High attention to detail with problem solving skills.
  • Commitment to quality and knowledge of GD&T.
  • Safety consciousness, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Stand for extended periods of time, reach and manipulate parts, lift up to 50lbs on occasion.
Compensation

Employee Type: Hourly

Salary Minimum: $40,000

Salary Maximum: $65,000
