Job summary

Ampco Pumps Company, a growing manufacturer serving food, dairy, and industrial sectors, seeks a CNC Machinist in Glendale for 2nd shift (Tue-Thu 1pm-11pm; Fri 12pm-10pm). You will interpret drawings, set up Mazak centers, program Mazatrol, and fine-tune offsets.

Qualifications

• Must have strong attention to detail.
• Experience on Mazak mills is helpful.
• Knowledge of Mazatrol programming, CMM and inspection equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting engineering drawings and CNC programs.
• Setting up Mazak vertical machining centers and tooling accurately and efficiently
• Adjusting and Programming in Mazatrol
• Making necessary offset adjustments to tools and work offsets.
• Maximizing efficiency by inspecting, cleaning, and skidding while the machine is cycling.
• Inspecting machined parts and ensure they are within the appropriate tolerance.
• Communicating relevant quantity and quality issues to management.
• Assisting with other Machine Shop projects, as needed.
