Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist - Level 3 for its Racine, Wisconsin facility. The role focuses on operating CNC mills and lathes, performing tool changes, offsets, and quality inspections with micrometers and calipers.

You will also participate in preventive maintenance to uphold high production standards. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in CNC milling/turning, strong blueprint reading, and experience with precision measuring tools.

Qualifications

3-5 years experience in CNC mills and lathes operation.
2+ years experience in performing tool changes and offsets.
2+ years experience in quality inspections using micrometers and calipers.
Proficiency in blueprint reading and using precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

Load and unload raw materials in CNC machinery safely.
Respond to machine malfunctions and follow safety procedures.
Maintain part specifications through turning, facing, drilling, boring, grooving, threading and milling operations.
Take measurements, adjust and replace worn tools.
Adhere to internal quality procedures and read inspection documents.
Utilize gauges and records to verify part quality and make decisions.
Perform machine tool wear offsets on drills, taps and inserts.
Deburr with hand tools as required.
Coordinate workload across multiple CNC cells.
Perform regular equipment cleaning and light maintenance tasks.
Recognize, use work holding, tooling and inserts correctly.
Make machine adjustments and perform tool wear offsets.
Interpret quality requirements and meet tolerance using gauges.
Support continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
