Job Description

Position Summary:

Level Two: Building upon level one, level two machinists operate 3-5 axis CNC machines with minimal assistance. Responsibilities include basic machine setup (fixtures, cutting tools), loading and adjusting CNC programs and offsets. They should also use advanced quality inspection tools like height and air gauges, perform bench inspections, and have basic knowledge of G and M codes. Typically, 2-4 years of experience are required.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic setup operations, including fixtures, cutting tools, and CNC programs.
  • Maintain product quality by monitoring and adjusting CNC offsets.
  • Conduct inspection tasks using intermediate tools, referencing drawings and specifications.
  • Validate program and first part runs on existing products.
  • Use production tracking tools such as Avante or E1 to charge time and claim parts.
  • Perform SPC as required.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to load and secure fixtures with minimal assistance.
  • Knowledge of G and M codes for setting and adjusting offsets and CNC interactions.
  • Understanding of shop math, including geometry and positive/negative numbers.
  • Ability to read basic prints and apply dimensional specifications.
  • Completion of DAP training.

Required Experience:

  • Proven success in level one machining duties for at least one year prior to promotion or hire.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience.

Level of Education:

  • GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.

Pay range: $25.50 to $31.53 USD hourly, based on various factors. Eligible for quarterly bonuses, 96 hours paid time off annually, 10 paid holidays, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k). The role involves access to controlled information under U.S. export laws; applicants must be U.S. persons or authorized accordingly.

This position is eligible for the Company’s Long-Term Incentive Program.
