Job Description

Position Summary:

Level Two: Building on level one, level two machinists operate 3-5 axis CNC machines, requiring basic machine setup, fixture and tool preparation, and CNC program adjustments. They use advanced inspection tools and techniques, have basic knowledge of CNC G and M codes, and typically have 2-4 years of experience.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic setup operations, including fixtures, cutting tools, and CNC programs.
  • Maintain product quality through CNC offset adjustments.
  • Conduct inspection tasks using advanced tools and interpret drawings.
  • Validate programs and first part runs.
  • Use production tracking tools like Avante or E1.
  • Perform SPC as required.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to load and secure fixtures with minimal assistance.
  • Knowledge of G and M codes.
  • Shop math skills, including geometry and tool geometry.
  • Ability to read prints and apply dimensional specifications.
  • DAP training.

Required Experience:

  • At least one year of success in level one machining duties.
  • 2-4 years of experience preferred.

Level of Education:

  • GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.

Pay range: $25.50 to $31.53 USD hourly, based on factors. Eligible for quarterly bonuses, paid time off (96 hours/year), holidays (10), and benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).
