Base pay range: $28.00/hr - $28.00/hr

Position Summary

A CNC Machinist produces precisely engineered parts and tools using computer numerically controlled equipment. They interpret blueprints and use software programs to create operation instructions for CNC machinery. Responsibilities include setting up equipment, operating the CNC machine, and inspecting finished parts. Reports to the Machine Shop Supervisor.

Essential Functions
  • Operate CNC machinery using software and blueprints.
  • Set up, breakdown, and maintain machines.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot programs.
  • Work with live tooling and dual spindle/dual turret machining.
  • Produce parts within specified tolerances.
  • Identify metals used in operations.
  • Modify machines with attachments or tooling.
  • Monitor production and address issues.
  • Work with tight tolerances.
  • Inspect finished parts for flaws.
  • Use measuring tools such as micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, and gauges.
Additional Duties
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Sit or stand for long periods as required.
Minimum Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a machine shop, preferably in the aerospace industry.
