Job summary

Jenks Machine & Tool Company, Inc. in New York is seeking a full-time CNC Machinist - Lathe. You will set up and operate CNC lathes to produce precision components per engineering drawings, select tooling, load programs, and monitor operations to ensure tight tolerances.

You will inspect finished parts, work with supervisors to resolve issues, perform routine maintenance, and maintain a clean, safe workspace to support timely order completion. Strong reading of drawings and GD&T are preferred.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Machine Operation and Machinery, including setting up, running, and troubleshooting CNC lathes and related equipment.
• Candidates should possess solid Machining skills, with the ability to work from blueprints, use precision measuring tools, and hold tight tolerances.
• Candidates should possess Quality Control skills, including inspecting parts, verifying dimensions, and maintaining documentation to meet customer and company standards.
• Experience with CNC programming or editing programs at the machine is beneficial.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and GD&T is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, good problem-solving skills, and ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment are required.
• Previous experience as a CNC machinist or completion of a machining/technical trade program is preferred.

Responsibilities

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site CNC Machinist - Lathe role based in New York, United States. The CNC Machinist will set up, and operate CNC lathes to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Schedule

Full Time - 40 Hours Per Week

Monday-Friday

6:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Pay is negotiable and based on experience!
