Job description

Continue to promote KAITEKI values by creating and maintaining a positive work environment that fosters a stable, growing, and continually improving workforce. Ensure a safe workplace, efficient production processes, minimal downtime, and a clean, orderly production area.

  1. Use data collection in the ERP system to log time.
  2. Read work orders, flow sheets, and part drawings to understand all aspects of the job to be manufactured.
  3. Load and verify tools and fixtures.
  4. Pull material from the staging area for the specific job and verify correctness against the WOPAC.
  5. Upload and download programs to/from the machine from the programmer.
  6. Check blueprint dimensions using manual inspection equipment.
  7. Submit first article and final inspection to Quality Assurance to verify dimensions and dimensions that cannot be checked manually.
  8. Run all parts required for the order.
  9. Perform in-process inspections during the production run.
  10. Keep the work area and machine clean.
  11. Perform daily and monthly machine preventative maintenance.
  12. Communicate with the programmer to ensure successful completion of the production job.
  13. Make fixtures.
  14. Edit programs as required.
  15. Understand CNC machine operation and programming.
  16. Use ERP software effectively.
  17. Require 5 years of experience in CNC machining, blueprint reading, and programming/editing.
  18. Possess basic math skills; knowledge of trigonometry is preferred.
  19. May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
  20. Long periods of standing may be required.
  21. Demonstrate critical thinking skills.

The salary for this position starts at $30.88. Factors influencing the pay include scope and responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, internal equity, market, and business considerations. The salary is subject to geographic adjustments based on the work location.
