Overview

This role focuses on setting up, optimizing, and operating 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machines to produce precision parts. It involves interpreting engineering drawings, programming machines, inspecting parts, and maintaining equipment. The machinist also contributes to continuous improvement and ensures compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Setup: Install work holding devices, tooling, spindle liners, and bar feeders.
• Operation: Run CNC machines to minimize downtime and maximize output.
• Programming: Verify and adjust CNC programs based on first article inspections.
• Inspection: Use measuring tools to ensure parts meet engineering specs.
• Maintenance: Perform daily upkeep and log operational effectiveness.
• Improvement: Apply lean manufacturing principles (TEOA) to improve processes.

Base pay range

$26.00/hr - $32.00/hr
